first SPS advice

I am getting a green pavona tommorrow for the 125 reef tank where I work. The tank has been set up for a little more than a year. I have had good luck with LPS and softies and decided to try my luck with a SPS. I wanted advice. The tank is supposedly cared for by the LFS, but its my tank. Nitrates are always near zero, pH stable at 8.2, cal at 450 ppm, phosphates are also minimal, I dose the tank weekly with Strontium, Calcium, Iodine, Magnesium. We also do bi weekly 10% water changes. I was told that this might need to change to 10% weekly, so I'll what the parameters. The tank has a 2 x 175 hamilton fixture with 2 x 140w vhos. I have a place picked out that is high in the tank and directly under a mh for the cactus coral. what else should I know? The LFS didn't recommend SPS for a business, but stated that it may work since a hobbyist was there everyday. thanks tommy

Looks like you have it under control, replace the bulbs regularly, keep up on your perams, don't mess with it too much, and watch to see if it's happy.

P.S. make sure you run carbon 24/7, SPS are harmed by the alopathic chemicals some softies put off, especially sinularia, and keep it out of reach of LPS.

thats just it, I get to stock a nice tank and not pay for it. My boss has stated that he wanted a show tank and is not afraid to spend money. He pretty much turns me loose with his no preset limit AMEX business card!
