first tank cycling question!!

Good to know you can mix 30 gallons in an hour or so. I will need to fill my brute container like 4 times to get mine full. I should be able to get the whole thing done over the weekend then.
Some salts advise to mix longer and some shorter. The coral pro will precipitate, I read, if overmixed before adding to tank. With new tank it shouldnt matter because the precipation should dissolve again. So want to be sure everyone reads the instructions on the salt and not just mix an hour and add to tank...thats just my experience with this particular salt and although I wont overmix it I do like to wait a day to use the saltwater unless necessary.

Defiantly seatila. Since it is a new tank do I need to worry about heating the water? I assume this makes it better acclimation for fish, but I won't have any for several weeks at least. I assume the heat also helps desolve the salt quicker?

If you have live rock, it helps keep them alive and thriving also. All those little creatures need the heat as well.

Actually the salt will dissolve better at room temperature. Sometimes when the water is heated and salt is added to it some things will precipitate out.
