First Tank Journal in Ottawa

marinescape

two nice men runnin a nice store

AND theyre in a relationship! lol

Love the tank. It looks like its going to turn out fantastic! You have all the right ingredients of a top notch reef tank. Now you just have to be careful with introducing the right things and not introducing the wrong things then let nature take its course with the occasional waterchange and tweak to your dosing! Good luck, ill be watching.

i thought so but they denied.

bein a guy from a gay city--NYC where we have a big gay park where many celebrities are caught doin gay--i'd love to see a gay couple runnin a marine store.

and thanks for your acknowledgement.

I'm tryin to lower the ati fixture--12 inches above tank seems to be a little bit too high.

but since the workers've done a dumb job--otherwise it wouldn't have been put so high as it is now--i do have problem to lower it.

fortunately some argue that, given the tank bein shallow, it probably works. I'm still watchin. now everythin seems fine.

looking good. The guys at marinescape will take good care of you. But please be careful with some of our other stores in Ottawa. Good luck.

is the heater in your display? Put it down i the sump. And maybe get rid of the auto feeder. Surely you watch the tank daily. Feed it manually. Just my 2cents.

thanks for your nice words. happy 2 c so many guys in ottawa havin fun with salty tanks.

i,2, wanted to put the heaters down but the sump isn't big enough.

eheim is always very long but i usually have a very compact designed sump. i have no way but to put'em in display.

got some cool corals.

like to share the dusk effect of tank.

Very nice tank.. The manufacturing looks very clean... +1 with chrishayes, dvanacker and others! NIce job!
On the heaters.... if you are using a durso type silencer in your overflow, you may be able to place the heater in your overflow to get it out of sight... just a thought.

Maybe I missed it... what are the dimensions of your tank?

thank guys for all the compliments

made a small adjustment to the rockwork to make the big terrace more stable.

yet it become very unstable at the very beginnin and the grape milli unfortunately got fragged.

the milli looked kinda awesome but now my hope just lies in their fast growth to recover and make an extra colony.

got some new stuff for thanksgivin. happy holiday, guys.

and the tank is 40*30*17

some more corals and pictures.

very unfortunately the blue tip staghorn didn't make it. i've removed it and put into a quarantine tank.

i don't know why the tenius in my tank showed less weird p.e. than did it in the store. presumably my tank is much brighter.

and this frag seems to become purple.

or probably i must lower the ati to make the tank even brighter?

got some more tablin corals, such like efflo and blablabla, sorry for poor knowledge and memory of those latin-form scientific names.

made a big big mess with epoxy while attachin them to the rocks. finger cross me. the tank is as foggy as if lime water was poured in.

if possible, ill take some pix tomorrow

Sorry to hear that. There's always some losses in the beginning it seems. Man I really like how you did your rockwork. Now I'm thinking of redoing mine... again... lol Your tank looks good!
