First time buying lighting?

My tank currently is without any lighting other than the light from some nearby lamp and a window. I have recently purchased a mangrove and I don't think the window will be sufficient to keep it growing. An issue I have is that the house I live in is old and the circuit my room is on seems to be at its limit I think? (for example, if I run my coffee maker, one of my lamps flickers) I only have the vaguest understanding of house electrical so I was wondering if someone that does know electrical could tell me if there is an aquarium light that uses little electricity or perhaps runs on battery? Are there light bulbs that I could put in a lamp I already use?

Many LED light fixtures run well below 100 watts which is much less than a coffee maker. I would look at a small LED fixture. How big is this tank?
