Let me start by saying that I read the first 20 pages or so of the sticky dedicated to this topic but didn't see my questions asked by anyone else.

I had a large purple tang, pair of oscellaris clowns, pair of fire fish, 1 chromis, and 2 fairy wrasses in my 55 gallon QT. the tang was the last fish added and showed Ich shortly after arrival. Because of this I decided to treat all of the fish with TTM before adding to my DT which has been running for 7 weeks with no fish ever being in it. I was worried about ammonia buildup with this number of fish so I split them into 2 groups and placed each batch into a 20 gallon brute with about 12 gallons of water each. For the second and fourth transfers I'm planning on moving all of the fish back into my 55 gallon QT ( now sterilized) that they were originally in and just wanted to confirm that this would be ok to do.

Also I followed all the rules exactly except that for the first transfer I moved the heater that was in the 55 over along with one group of fish. I have since purchased another heater to use so I won't have to do that again. Before moving the heater I soaked it in hot water with vinegar and let it dry for 2 hours or so before using it. I know now that I shouldn't have done that but I'm planning on doing a 5th transfer at the end just in case. Will this be ok or have I already butchered this thing?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Moving the fish back to the 55g after you do the 5th transfer will be fine providing you sterilized EVERYTHING in the 55g correctly

Adding fish to a QT at different times is not a good idea. QT one batch for the total time and them move on. With every new addition, you must reset the qt clock to be affective.
