First try at pillars (Pics)

Well I built this with cpvc to thread my rock onto.

Here is a pic of my first PillarScape. My rock lost some color, I tried to drill as fast as I could. Suggestions are welcome,I'm a noobe.

Looks ok huh? I ran out of rock. I need some long flat pieces for bigger ledges.Would also like some kind of arch or cave.

Looks very good, laserjim. What kind of glue did you use for the PVC?

That's one fine job and great looking tank. I tried the same and I just could not stabalize the rock.

Used regular pvc cement. Suppose to be non-toxic.We use it on our tank plumbing. Ritten just drilled a 5/8 inch hole in the rock and slid it on,Nothing really to stabilize.Just have a wide enoughbottom so your rock doesnt tip over.

What kind of corals can I put around the pillars/ There are a lot of low light areas around them.(Not direct light)

Thanks,I used a long masonary bit 10 inch.It drills very easy. Just dont get to close to the edge in will break.

Do you use the purple PVC glue? I imagine that would help disguise the horrid white!
