Fish at Big Al's

Was hard to hold myself back. I'm still slowly stocking the more timid fish in my new tank but I just stopped by Big Als's and they have the following in.

Lineatus Wrasse - about 4" ....... $175
Mystery Wrasse - about 1.5" ....... $125
Polleni Grouper - about 3-4" ........ $150

Don't quote me. I didn't have anything to write with. I may have mixed up the prices of the Mystery and the Polleni.

It may very well be lineatus season LOL-I've heard of at least three lfs carrying them.
U look for them for months and all of the sudden they are everywhere LOL

yea i think you mixed up the 2 prices. at 125$ though its a steal compared to others, especially online. im surprised too, ive seen it there for quite a while if its the same grouper

hope you werent buying them though, they might get snatched up now that the word is out prob manny.. lol

Naw - not buying yet. I've got to get some of the usual timids first. Some blennies and such and let them get a feel for their new home as well as giving the tank more time. It's only 6 weeks old at this point.

Does Big Al ship to New Jersey for livestock?

I do not see any fish/corals for sale on his website unless I am looking at the wrong website - can you please provide a link or tel number?

I don't think they would ship. This is a LFS that operates as a retail franchise with the Big Al's name, and they do not run their own website. To my knowledge the main Big Al's website only sells dry goods.

I did end up buying a Mystery there last week. The price on the Mystery was $150 but I got him for $125. Never hurts to ask for a lower price. Sometimes you just might get it.
