Fish at Monterey Bay Aquarium

Does anyone know what kind of fish this is? The people at the aquarium couldn't figure it out, despite it being in their aquarium. They thought it was a sort of tang.

I'd say you're the closest of anyone I've spoken too. Some are turquoise and orange, and some are blue and orange/gold. I wonder if it's a male/female thing or based on the coloration from the lighting. I loved the fish and I haven't seen one before. Too bad my tank is too small.
