I just stopped in Sea Schor and found some rather remarkable fish bargains. Centropyge Multicolor for $62 (got one, one left), pairs of C. bathyphilus (hooded fairy wrasse) for $170 (got one pair, one left) which go for $500 at Marine Center, Genicanthus Watanabei male for $52, yellow tangs for $25/35, beautiful exquisite fairy wrasse male for $52 and a remarkable Achilles tang crossed with a naso tang. I think the price on the latter is $250 but it is one GORGEOUS fish. Most remarkable was a pair of helfrichi firefish for $150. These normally go for more than that for one. I normally go to Sea Schor for corals (got a nice bubble coral today) but today there were some great fish available. So if you are into fish . . .

There were clowns but I am probably the wrong person to ask about them as I am not very knowledgeable. (If you want to talk about Fairy Wrasses, I can help you). They had some with Bubble Tip Anemones but I don't know the kinds. Tony, who I think is the store manager, is very knowledgeable about clowns as he has some really esoteric ones. Give him a call and you can judge for yourself whether the prices are good bad or indifferent.

I am not quite sure how they are able to price some of the more desirable fish so cheaply. Perhaps they are a loss leader for the corals?

They had at least three types of clowns when I was there yesterday. They had a few Carpet Anemones, some great speacials onb yellow tangs and a bunch of wrasses.

If you haven't been there lately, its time for a road trip!

For CMAS members, don't forget to bring your card with you!

Sea Schor ALWAYS has reasonable prices. They also have an Unbelievable display tank. Best we have seen yet!!! (drool) We need to make a trip out to see them.

I picked up a beautiful Chevron Tang There today for 70$. I was looking to get a yellow tang or possibly a purple tang. When I saw Chevron I new I had to get it. My daughter has named her Chevy.

I just went to this place yesterday. His display tank is amazing, but he really doesn't have much SPS for sale. Kinda strange.

Sea Schorr is cool.. but I hate the way they display their corals.. in the look down tanks.. Also last time I went there they had just added live sand to them so it was very cloudy.. so I wasnt very happy since its about a 45+ minute drive for me. But overall I do like it better them some of the other stores in the area as far as prices/selection of rare items goes.
