Fish capable of human-like logic

Bettas in the wild will do the same thing. One male will watch 2 others fight then kill the survivor and get the girl that way. Octopuses(octopi?) in captivity were stealing food from their captors at night. They would escape from their holding tanks crawl over to the tanks containing their food, eat their fill and go back to the holding tank. The scientists studing them had to set up a video camera and catch them in the act to figure out what was going on. Just shows you that people aren't the only ones who can be sneaky.

Can be either octopuses or octopi.

I've heard a very similar story. A fish store owner was having cichlids (freshwater) come up missing during the night. He set up a video camera and caught the octopus getting out of his tank, crawling across the counter, dropping into the cichlid tank, catching his meal, getting out, going back across the counter, and plopping back into his tank to eat it. Lol, was that enough commas? That's creepy.

My zoo professor showed us this clip during class once. It's really cool:

And then I'm sure most of you have seen the octopus vs. shark:

Does this mean that when my fish look like their giving me a dirty look, they might actually be doing just that! WOW!
