Running a 50g breeder, Planning on a 180 when I get my tax return, so this tank will run 1 year, tops. The tank has 90lbs of live rock, several maxi-mods and several lps corals. I'm running the recirc 200 octopus skimmer. I change 10 gallons a week.

Current fish-
3" royal gramma
2" kole tang

I'd like to add a pair of true percs and 2 or 3 neon gobies. Again, these fish will be in this 3ft tank for a year, at maximum. I've already got the tank paid for, but we may be purchasing a house which may affect the exact timing of setup.

Is it reasonable to have all of these fish in this tank?

Thank you
Daniel

the neons may fight. I had 2 and the bigger one killed the smaller. I dont know about 3 through. maybe the aggression would subside, or 2 would pair off and kill the third.

I'm glad everyone thinks it's ok, I really do not want to overstock the tank, even for a short amount of time. I know more about corals than fish, sadly, so this is a learning experience for me as well. I'm going to do some research on sand tilefish. Does anyone have any comments on them? If the gobies will fight I don't know if that would be a good option. I may swap out the gobies for some blue green reef chromis, the dark blue ones.

So many fish, such a small tank.

Thanks again
Daniel

Chromis will do the same thing...pair off and kill the third. I'd stick with the neon gobies.

I'd say stick with the gobies... shouldn't give you trouble in that size tank. Tilefish are tricky, I personally stay away from those guys.

I have 2 neons in a 55g, only fish so far. The larger one constantly hunts for the lil one. Were very close in size, now larger is almost twice size of smaller.
