I have a 180 RR tank and just yesterday my zebra sweetlips has one eye that is bulging out, almost like there is an air pocket behind it.
Most of the other fish are non aggressive so not sure what happened.
Any ideas?
Many eye problems are a result of bacterial infections resulting from netting and similar abrasion related issues ... most tend to clear up on their own if you maintain the water quality. If you don't see improvement within a week or so then you should consider treating with an antibiotic which is best done within a QT. A double dose (twice the mfg. recommendation) of Maracyn 2 is often effective in treating these types of problems.
