Hello,
what do you feed your fish ?

anyone have links or good info on nutrient breakdown of some seafoods we normally feed our tanks ?

clams, oysters, scallops, salmon fish, shrimps, jumbo shrimps, all different fishes we can find in seafood stores.

for example, if I want to get my fish FAT, Id like to feed them stuff with the highest fat contents, which one of the above have the higher fat ? which has highest proteins ? and so on. same for vitamines and ...

would appreciate any help or info. someone in the food industry must have a good link or a book.

I think the fattest and healthiest fish need a mix of everything. And often. I feed pellets and flakes twice a day, a 3"x3" sheet of nori, along with a nightly feeding of a cube sized piece of frozen Mysis and a cube sized piece of a mixture of clams, scallops, tilapia, shrimp (all bought at the grocery store), cyclopeeze, spirulina and krill blended and frozen. My fish are FAT. I skim wet, have a fuge with chaeto and livestock, and a huge cleanup crew that helps keep nutrients down despite such overfeeding. I will never have a 0 nitrate/ phosphate tank, nor do I have any algae or cyano, but all of my coral and fish are thriving.
