Hi,
I have 2 blue green chromis that I have had for over a year. Two weeks I noticed that one of them was acting strange. He was off in a corner by himself and when he would swim, he would keep his fin on the side of the tank. It was then that I realized that he was blind. About a week later the other one started acting the same. Both of them went blind. I moved them into a hospital tank.
Has anyone ever heard of any disease that will make fish go blind? They look normal. They don't have any spots, or marks or any signs of disease that I can see. Thier eyes look fine to me.
They are still eating or at least trying to eat. They are in a 9 gal aquamedic tank, like a nanocube, right now. So I turn off the pump to feed. They can smell the food and are trying to eat.
I took them out of my 55 gal tank. There are 3 fish still in that tank and they don't seem to be going blind.
I hope I can find some way to cure them.
