Fish hang out on one side of the tank?

Do your fish have a preference? Seems that all of mine prefer one side over the other.

The tank is set up as follows: Standard 75g, overflow centered in the left half of the tank. Power heads at each end, return is through the back glass upper right corner. Right side of tank is located against a corner wall

Doesn't seem to matter what the flow rate is, how the rock is structured, nothing. Add a new fish and bam! goes right to the left side. They swim all around but always return to the same side.

Anyone else ever notice anything like that?

It's also possibly bully related. Some years ago I had a large thre stripe damsel that had all of the other fish 'pinned' to one end of the tank. Easy solution to THAT problem though :)

When the fish do not see me in the room, I notice some have a particular pattern they swim and look for food like a track or path. Some hang out in one area while others in other areas. I do a couple feedings with a Neptune AFS which is loud(vibrates the tank). My fish have learned that is a dinner bell and crowd up at feeding time. Funny thing is if I manually start a feeding at an off time, They do not associate the vibration with feeding. If I stop the feeder from feeding at the normal time, they do not go to it. It takes the conditioned time and vibration in combination. Smart little animals!
