Fish ID - type of wrasse?

I'm pretty sure this is a wrasse (although not even certain of that), but what type of wrasse. Taken from Key Largo, FL waters by a friend over a year ago. I got it when I got the tank from same friend. It hung out with a small parrotfish like it was family, although we got rid of the parrotfish because it was eating our hard coral.

Because it was, I'm afraid.
Definitely of the Scarus genus; I am thinking Scarus iseri.

Yep, that definitely looks like what I have, although the coloration is a bit different from all the images I see on the Internet...but the striping is there. We've had him for over a year now, and he hasn't grown much. He was 3-4 inches on arrival and now maybe 4-5 inches. I would have thought a true parrotfish would have grown bigger in a year's time.

One other interesting behavior, when hunting or agitated, the horizontal stripes are replaced with dark, thick, vertical bars.
