Fish ID

Can anyone Id this guy? Some type of goby? He can stick to the glass with his pelvic fins, and is usually perched on a rock. He also changes color, from very light, to very dark. Has tons of personality, very brave and very hardy. I had him in a bait tank in my garage. I removed all the bait fish before winter, and didn't realize this guy was still in there. When I went to take the tank down 4 months later, after half of the water had evaporated, no circulation, no filtration, no FOOD, no heater, he was still swimming around! So now, I figure I owe it to him, to give him the best life possible.

Sorry for the bad pic.

If no other input, I'd say it is a new species. The Cantbkiled.
Wow, that is amazing to hear of such resilience from a sw fish.

I think maybe he mutated into his own species lol! GOBY X! but I agree I think he earned a spot in your aquarium

+1 on dragon goby. Mine likes to get a big mouthful of sand and sprinkle it all over my corals lol

Thanks guys for all the help. Its a Florida fish, and after searching I think I found it. I wish it was a Ostrich or Dragon goby. They look a little cooler.
Looks like "Frillfin Goby" or "Bathygobius soporator". I know its a horrible pic I posted, but heres a better one I found online.

Seeing that you are in FL it could be that that species has adapted to survive in tide pool conditions like those you described you found him in. Just a guess but it would make sense.
