Ive never heard of a hairy mushroom doing that I have two of them and they havent harmed anything. IRight now im trying to find out about my Elephant ear mushrooms
That's an elephant ear mushroom, and they kill low-traveling fish with increasing frequency as they get bigger. It usually happens in the dark at first---you lose fish, and don't know why, and rarely find the body.
He is correct, that mushroom in the picture is kind of small to be considered a standard hairy mushroom. Its a elephant ear mushroom and yes htye love to eat hosting clowns.
thank you guys! you guys are the experts in this area i guess, since in the clownfish/anemone forum i had this pic posted for a week and no one mentioned it at all. no one ever questioned it was not a hairy mushroom.
