Can You Mix

a. Different kinds of cardinals?

b. Different kinds of anthias (if the tank is big enough)?

As far as im aware cardinals are ok together but a 26gal is too small for anthias if thats why your asking.

Thanks for the answer kar, these questions where based on a bigger tank that is in the planning.

Looking forward to a new thread :D Ive just done some research and it says species can be mixed provided the tank is big enough because in the wild they are found mixed however in aquaria they do better with their own kind. But still it says they can be mixed

forgot mention i read cardinals can only be mixed in a 100g+ tank

hmmm--can you post the link to that article??

With both cardinals and anthias I have found that three is the ideal number--I've tried four and five and they seem to be able to whittle themselves down to three

Three blue chromies would be nice also
