FISH ONLY suggestions

I have a new tank that is a 'fish only' setup. It is a RR 90g with 60lbs rock, 2" sandbed, coralife 220 skimmer, TEK T5 lighting, Proclear 200 wet dry. As for livestock, here is what I have so far:

4" Blue Throat Trigger
4" Porcupine Puffer
5" Copperband Butterfly
2.5" Blue/Green Chromis (1)
Tiger Cowrie for cleanup duty

What suggestions would you guys give for other additions to this tank? The tank is setup in my main livingroom so I want a lot of movement in this tank, that's why it is a fish only tank. I like fish with a lot of personality and so far all the fish have great personalities that I have added. I cannot say enough good things about the CBB that I have. He is by far the best looking fish that I have and he eats like a pig. Really likes to show off, always swimming in all areas of the tank. Just a really nice specimen.

Would a tang be a good addition to this tank? Obviously they will have to be big enough so that they don't become lunch to the puffer. I am lucky he hasn't tried to eat my little chromi so far.

Thanks for your help.

After thinking about it a little more I would like to add 1-2 more fish. Maybe a medium sized angel, a wrasse of some type or maybe a maroon clown. What do you guys think?

I absolutely love my maroon clown, he has so much personality, I wouldn't give him up for anything. I was wondering, does your butterfly not shy away when people are near? This is the only reason I never added on to my tank, seems like anytime I have seen them in tanks they tend to cower and almost lay on their side. They are beautiful and I always wanted one. I have 6 fish in my 120 gal, 3 of which are just damsels, a purple tang, a yellow tang and my maroon clown.

My CBB has more personality than any fish in my tank, hands down. I had doubts when I got him about his personality and whether I'd be able to keep him or not. I had always heard too that they were shy and that they were not hardy. I may have a rare CBB. But he/she eats all the time and actually comes to the front of the tank whenever I'm in front of it. My blue throat is still a little shy. The puffer will eat from my hand and the little chromis is very personable. But my CBB is my favorite. The CBB is the biggest fish I have right now. It loves brine shrimp and mysis. Only eats frozen, but that is expected because this species is a finicky eater, anyhow. The best part about this fish is that I got him for $25 bucks at Petland, and he is a good sized fish for that price.

Nice! I really think you would like a maroon clown too, so much personality. I used to have 2 of the green chromis, but my sister-in-law started a new tank and I gave one of them to her. After that, my chromis started acting scared and strange, so I decided to take it back from her, well I noticed she had ich in her tank, so I decided to wait. Needless to say, all her fish died. My little chromis still acts lost, I think I took its mate from it or something.

The best part about this fish is that I got him for $XX bucks at Petland

Just a friendly reminder here, you can talk about other places and experiences at LFSs, but please do not post prices or promote events (sales) on the forum. :)

Glad to hear your CBB is doing good, hopefully he will continue to remain in good health they are indeed a tricky fish.

When I took care of the Perfater tanks, we had a green bird wrasse ("Flipper") that was just awesome. He'd "fly" around the tank. He was very active and personable, and one tough fish. We also had a emperor angel ("Elvis") that made an awesome addition to a FOWLR. [I won't talk about who did away w/him for me.] Ever hear an emperator grunt?

I currently have a very large sailfin tang that I'd love to be able catch and relocate. He's just getting too big for my 72 gal. I'm thinkin' you are gonna run into the same size problem w/your puffer. Ours got sooo big I had to use a collander to catch him. He unfortunately let a sailfin tang and a (pygmy) flame angel bully him right out of the tank (go figure), and I had to find him a new home.

The CBB that I have in my home tank is also Mr. Personality. Anytime I come into the room, he's up front and center, and everyone else hides.

How would a CBB get along with my yellow and purple tangs? I have thought about getting one. I would like to add one more nicely colored fish, also was considering a flame angel (I have a clam so I need to make sure he doesnt get picked at)

I wouldn't chance the flame angel. I'd be leery of adding anything after the tangs have been introduced as well. I have heard they can be aggressive towards similarly shaped fish if they have already established their territory.
