Fish Only tank question

Im starting a fish only tank for a puffer
question can I use that decorative colored rock in a SW Fish tank
there will be no corals inverts or anything only a few puffers or is that paint on there harmefull anyone have some experience?

By decorative colored rock, do you mean the colored gravel commonly used in FW aquariums?? If so, then I wouldn't use it, have read something in the past about it leaching heavy metals into the water.
