Fish order

Probably going to have the 220 going this weekend. My concerns are the order of moving the fish to this tank. I currently have my tuskfish, 2 blue jar triggers, a flame angel, and two medium clownfish in a 55 tank. In a 40 breeder I have two smaller clownfish and a verhoven wrasse. And in another tank I have my new juvenile emperor angel. I have only had the angel since the frag swap but it is doing fine and eating well. Question is what order to put the fish into the 220?

I'm not familiar with all of them and their temperaments. But the way I would do it would be the most aggressive Last and most peaceful first.

Do it in groups. Even peaceful fish can become aggressive once they establish territory. By adding in groups, no one fish gets overly picked on until the new pecking order is established. I would add both pairs of clowns at the same time along with the smaller fish, the clowns will likely pair off on opposite sides this way. Once it looks like everything is settling in place, add the larger fish.

I am not sure if this is the proper way, but I have always added all fish together in a relocate. Goes back to my cichlid days. If all the fish stress and acclimate to new surrounding at the same time, they have to naturally determine dominance and pecking order. They all can find good hiding spots before the war begins.

I tried 2 pairs of clowns in my 225 back when I had that. They were paired up in smaller tanks prior to the 225 and each pair had their own rbtas. It worked great for a month or so but then I saw the biggest female swim to just beyond the halfway point and then back to its nem. The next day she was all the way across the tank and starting serious **** with the other pair. The male of the attached pair went awol so I scooped up the female and gave her to a friend. I would not do that again.

More than one pair in a tank can be sketchy. It helps if they are different species. I've had a pair of pink skunks and a pair of onyx perculas in my 150 cube for a couple of years now. They squabble from time to time but tend to stay behind their respective demarcation lines.

Tested the tank for leaks. Looking good. But my stand pipes are too big. I am going to have to make hofer gurgle busters. Big bummer. And my bigger sump isn't going to fit under the tank so the sump is going outside of the stand.
