Fish overboard!!!!

I'm not sure if i'm in the right forum for this, but I have some questions about a fish. She does not have a disease, but she has been injured. Yesterday we went shopping. After we had been home for about two hours my mom noticed a fish on the floor. She freaked out! My dad went over and picked up, and thought it was a rubber or plastic fish. Upon further inspection he realized it was my flame angel. We do not know how long she had been there. He thought she was dead until her tail twiched. He quickly put her in the tank. He moved her forward and backward to force water into her gills. Then she laid on the bottom hyperventilating. She can swim now but she isnt' acting normal. Her fins are messed up now, but that's understandable. She just kinda swims in place.

Can a fish get brain damage? I know that that sound really stupid, but I had to ask. Does anyone have any tips on how to help her. The fish in the tank with her seem to be helping her, they aren't picking on her or anything. I already added stress coat to help her fins heal. Any help would be appreciated.

Octopus can be brain-damaged by being out of the water too long, so it stands to reason that fish could be as well. I would worry that the other fish are NOT being altruistic though - they are not likely helping the flame angel, but rather, either curious or waiting to attack it. Isolate the fish if possible. While secondary infection is possible, most of the time these jumpers either get better on their own or not.
