Fish Review?

Can anyone tell me how a six line would do in my 12 gal nano cube-DX


i have
-zoos
-clownfish
-milli
-palys
-crabs & snails

I have had 2 six-lines and both were the meanest fish in the tank. They beat up on 4" purple tang, 6" blue hippo tang, killed a mandarin and one of my first pair of black clowns. I don't know if I had a super territorial one or if that is the norm but I have heard they are aggressive from others too.

They look nice but I wouldn't chance it if I had to do it over again.

Yeah, but would it make a difference only having one, and it not being the first fish in the tank?

What about the Blue Hippo tang?
I wanted one since before i got my tank, but usually they dont look like they have had good care taken for them. Got a pic of yours?

I have had one in every tank Ive owned.
The only time I have had a problem with them is with other wrasses!
I have seen some mean hippos also!Hippos are not good grazers

Alright, well i think soon I will hopefully buy one.
Do they eat aptasia or anything else that might grow in a tank?

Yea get the 6line will be fine with the clown. And can be a very fun fish in a small tank!

I didn't mean that I had 2 at the same time. I have had two over my time in this hobby and would never own another one since I have watched them chase and kill other fish I paid way more for and I hate fish that are so aggressive. It wasn't in a small tank either. I had one in a 92g corner and one in a 75g.

12 gal is pretty small for a six line....they are pretty active swimmers

The six-line should do ok in your 12. I definitely would not get the hippo tang (or any tang for that matter), though.

A 12 gallon tank isn't nearly big enough to house a Blue Hippo Tang.

I had a hippo in my 75 and that was too small for him when he got bigger. I had him for 5 years before I sold him to someone with a 180.

I have a six line thats dose fine with my clowns. he love to swim and is very active and is huge prob the biggest one i have ever seen not aggressive at all
