Fish room questions

Hello All;
I finally have a room in my house for all of my equipment and it's located down in the basement. It has open rafter and the main floor is directly above my head. There is an air register for some ventilation but I am concerned about moisture problems. Do I need to worry about the open rafters above or the drywall to the sides of the tank? Should I paint my room with an anti-microbial or anti-fungal to mitigate any future problems?
I was also thinking about problems with water on the floor. As I look at the floor I realize that if I do have a substantial amount of water on the floor, there is no barrier that will stop it from getting into the carpet on the other side of a wall.

Any thoughts or tips would be much appreciated.

my fish room had 14 tanks in it and i ran a 6" vent right outside the house with a 240 cfm fan and i never had any problems . i was evaporating 4 to 6 gallons a day mainly due to the fact that i was removing the room air . now i have 7 tanks in my house and no ventilation and again no problems . i guess it depends on how many tanks and if they will be covered or not . also air conditioning really helps remove the moisture in the house too and i run mine all summer long for this reason .
