Fish Selection

About 6 weeks ago my wife and I bought a 100g glass tank. The tank was established for over a year. However, the guy we got it from was only running 2x65w power compacts. He had 3 damsels a banded shrimp, snails, hermit crabs and a sand star. We moved the tank to our house and luckily didn't lose anything. We upgraded the lights and have been running the tank ever since.

Saturday, I removed all the LR and captured the damsels and took them to the LFS. Now, here's my question? What suggestions do you have for fish that would be good to start repopulating our tank? I would like to get a couple of tangs but I'm hesitant to make a tang our first welcomed guest. Any ideas?

Its generally a good idea to start with the least aggressive fish in a tank to give them time to acclimate to their new surroundings, before a more agressive fish can stake a claim to the territory. A small tang would be a great choice. Hardier choices would be a clowns, chromises, cardinals.

I'd second clowns. As long there not gonna be anymore clowns they are pretty friendly to other fish.

I have a nice Yellow Striped Maroon in my 37g. I really like him. Do you think a mated pair would be a good start?
