i met the guy that works there and was wondering if it is worth the trip up. anyone been there?

the one in Hialeah? I wouldn't bother. I live right by there and I don't even go there anymore. Its a tiny place with a lot of dirty tanks. The people there aren't that nice.

interesting, i work with the guy that owns it i think and he seems like a good guy.

I don't know who the owner is. i have seen a few guys working there though. Maybe I caught them on bad days but I am not too happy with that place.

yeawho knows i may head up there one weekend when i get a chance. since i work mornings with him at ups maybe i can talk to him about ways to make the store better and turn it around.

There are two stores "near" me that both have reputations that kept me away from them for a very long time. I recently took a shot at both of them, and was impressed both times. You never know what you're missing if you never look for yourself.
I don't know enough about Florida to know what kind of distance you're talking about, but you wouldn't have asked if it was really far. I say roll the dice, and take a ride.

Thats a good idea. Since you know him give him some good pointers after you check out the store. I think good customer service should be present in all stores. Also tell him that, at least when I have gone, the tanks and water have been real dirty. Maybe no one has told him so he doesn't think anything is wrong. I'm pretty sure his clientele will increase if he just makes some minor changes. The store has potential.
