Fish Stocking Advice

Hello everyone!

I currently have an Elos 120 that I am in the process of stocking with fish.

Currently I have a pair of small Bandit Angelfish (A. arcuatus) in the DT. I also have a Banks Butterflyfish (P. aya), Blueline Angelfish (C. septentrionalis) and Banded Butterflyfish (C. humeralis). These fish have about another month in the QT, before they will be added to the DT.

I know what other larger fish that I will be adding (Larger Angels and Butterflies), but I am a little lost on what smaller shoaling fish (etc.). I want something that is not particularly common, smaller and vibrantly colored as most of my fish are black and white.

Any recommendations?

ventrailis or paraviritis anthias. Although my spelling isnt correct.
They would be great with the colder water and lower light you have set up on that tank.
pics are a must when stocked.

cwoods8- I have really been thinking about these fish. I think that a group of 8 or 10 would be stunning!

d-man- I tried a trio of P. ventralis, but mysteriously lost them.

How about some cardinals, A. Parvulus or Leptocanthus? Too pedestrian?

Depends how small/big you want these guys.

I am looking for something that will compliment my current (and future) fish, those being white, black, brown, yellow, etc.

As far as size goes, I am hoping to keep the max size at 4" or less. Keep in mind that I mean a slender "anthias-like" 4"

Pseudanthias leucozonus...they're stunning. Expensive though, and I think they may get larger than 4"?

Either way, they're beautiful and I think there are some around to be had.

Pseudanthias pulcherrimus and Pseudanthias randalli are attractive, underrated anthias, IMO.

I really like the Randall's, but I have never seen a captive specimen nearly as spectacular as a wild.

Will this species attain the brilliant coloration when kept in captivity, particularly the males?
