Fish stocking for BB 29 gallon

Hey im looking for some ideas for stocking my 29 gallon BB SPS/LPS Reef. It has a 20L sump and 5.5 refugium above that.

I've decided No Clown fish. Im limited on most blenny's i believe and many goby's needing a sand bed.

I just got a bunch of fish for my 29, i got 2 fire fish, a midas blenny, cardinal blenny, and a yellow watchman gobie, i have a pretty good skimmer and want to add a few more over time.

No Clownfish???? WHAT is that all about??? How can anyone have a tank without clownfish??? I think I may be having a stroke....


I would advise clown gobies. They are cool fish. I would also suggest shrimp, but not deadly fish eating killer shrimp like Waverz buys, just some pretty red ones...

Yes NO Clownfish, i find them kinda conformist reefing. lol

Its just everyone has a clown fish,

I have one in my 10g reef now and im so sick of everyone going. " Hey look its nemo Dah..." And im like but check out that sweet calm or monti not the stupid clown fish.

That was one of the reasons I stopped doing SPS. "Hey look at that cool flowy green stuff or wow those green star things are neat." Kind of hard to deal with people being more impressed by hair algae than your prized blue tort...

So i have been waiting to stock because my nitrate test were sky high I thought. And i took some water into LFS to test and showed ZERO.

One of LFS workers asked how old my (API) Nitrate test kit, its a 1.5 years and he said its bad.

----So..... I got my new tanks First Fish.

----Purple Firefish.

Which i havnt' seen yet since i added it. I did read that it may hide for up to 1 week befor coming out even more so if its the first fish.

Very frustrating though, seeing as its a 29 and i cant find it.

I added 3- 1'' green cromis today, doin great all were feeding miniutes after adding. I don't think its really recomended to add this many in a 29g, but in a year or two i will upgrade big time, and i swear my clown a 1.5 years now hasn't grown *%#@.

Still havnt seen firefish, But nitrates havnt spiked so don't suspect there's a dead fish in there.


Im concidering getting Green clown goby or citron goby, But i read they nip at SPS... and any sps i have are frags and dont want to lose them. Any thoughts?
