Fish Stocking

Here is my list of fish I want and Fish I curretnly have. Please help me either remove fish or add. Also any comments on to many fish are also welcome. The tank is an elos 120 4X22.5X2. Approx 90 gallons. SPS Dominated with a few zoos and LPS. I have a very tight lid so jumpers are not out. I Run GFO and carbon with a very large Skimmer. I want this tank to have alot of fish but I want to know if I am over doing the stocking list. For my main focal fish I am possibly thinking about some kind of semi safe angel so any input would be great.

Some kind of small Angel maybe a Pair of Multibar Angel
The anthias are open for discussion if another species would be better for my tank.
Maybe some other kind of blenny.

i would say you would be overstocked. I would probably drop the anthias and I'd be concerned about the firefish's survival long term. I personally like the midas blenny.

Overstocked I can handle. I can drop some other fish. I really want anthias so maybe I should decrease the ammount. I like the midas's too but was actually woried about aggressesion with this guy.

With the exception of your firefish, the rest of your stock should be able to hold its own with any of those fish on your list.

I would choose one species of flasher wrasse and get a male and 2 females. The butterfly would be neat. It will eat your tube worms and the like. But they're pretty and should work in your size tank. Maybe a m/f pair of the butterflies if you could find them. I would do that. I would not add another blenny because of your tailspot and possible issues. Maybe the midas would work because it's pretty different. I wouldn't do the anthias, myself. I think they'll really use up a lot of your tank space and bioload. But I'm not a big anthias guy. I'd probably loose the chromis you have just because its kind of our of place on it's own. i would add something for the bottom. Maybe a mandarin or scooter. Shrimp goby w/ pistol. Jawfish.

I was thinking of the longnose butterfly that eats tube worms. I don't know about pyramids. I'd go with longnose. Very pretty and supposed to be reasonably hardy.

I'd skip the angels. If you do the angels, I'd skip the butterflies.

IMO, that is too many fish for a tank of that size. If you added more rocks you would be able to keep many of those fish, but with such a small amount of rock there isn't enough territory and hiding places. I love minimalistic aquascaping, but it isn't good if you want to keep lots of fish.

With all of the active wrasses and anthias, odds are your helfrichi would either jump or hide constantly. Getting rid of the helfrichi would open up more options.

A yellow pyramid butterfly would get too big for your tank, IMO. After keeping two of them for a couple years, I would never put one in a tank smaller than 6 feet long.

The yellow coris wrasse wouldn't be a good choice either because they require a sand bed to sleep/hide in.

Great stuff guys. I never really considered the firefish an issue but you bring up good points about all the activity@ small alien. Very good point about angels/butterflys. I will seriously take that into consideration and may have to make a choice butterfly or angels. @ifbettas also very good points about minamilistic rockwork. That is part of the reason I showed my rockwork as i figured it would have play on the ammount of fish. i have added more rock in the sump for extra bio filtration but as you pointed out it still leaves less rockwork for teritory and hiding. Also the first hand exp on the pyrmids if super nice. This is exactly the kind of open dialog I was hoping for. Nothing so far is set in stone and I can return or sell any species which will not work out for the long term sucess. Keep the comments coming

Also alien I did not point out but I have no sand only starboard cutting board on bottom so this really eliminates most bottom gobys/blennes.
