Also depends on where in LA, that covers a lot of ground.
Vivid is supposed to be nice though I've never been there.
In the beach areas I've been to both Jim's exotic fish(El Segundo) and Aquatic Fantasy(Redondo beach) and both have a great assortment of fish, AF has some nice corals.
