Fish Superstore

The store will have a good selection of aquariums and stands, but will be severly lacking in the marine fish and coral dept. That's of course if their like the other locations I've been too. Oh yes, they will be overpriced too.

If you know where Woodfield in Schaumburg is, it's about 5 miles west of there. If you don't, click on the link I provided above - they have a map of the location.

Well, this is from the link above:
"Aquarium Adventure is a wholly owned subsidiary of Petland, Inc"

I hope for the animals sake that they keep the fish in much better condition that my local Petland, as every marine animal they have is stressed and/or dying.

There was another thread on this topic a week or two ago, where some people checked with some people from Ohio, where there are other stores, and the report was not good. Overpriced and unhealthy livestock. Hopefully they can do better in Illinois.

They are franchises so it really depends on the owneres and managers. If this store is as good as they say on their wedsite it should be worth a try. Lets hope they have a great loss leader to try and get people into their stores. I would love to have a store thats sells salt below cost to draw people in like cheap milk at a grocery store.

IMO Petland in Naperville is a hard group to deal with... I used to shop there quite a bit when I was right down the street. Pricy is an understatement! Most of the employees knew very little about the animals other than to ring them up on the cash register. Their lizard selection was terrible other than the feeder crickets and their FW fish were in bad shape almost all the time. I haven't been there for years and it may be different now.
