Can you guys help?? I got a sixline wrasse from the CR on the 3rd, and it bagan to swim odd about 2 days ago. It seems to be floating with the current. His fins are moving and he is trying, but the pattern does not seem natural. he swims upside down, and straight up alot, and the rest of the time he looks like a flake of food on the tank. he is still eatting, and appears that he swims partially right when it's feeding time. I made a very bad video of him and posted it on youtube. the heading is sixline wrasse swimming if anyone wants to chek it out. I used the same username to post stuff on there as well. the link is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B9zU_o3Zm00. Is there something wrong with his swim bladder???? I got a maroon clown from them before and he did the same thing for a while, and I have lost 2 other fish recently that I got from there- a green chromis and citron goby. Is there something that I am not doing correctly or something. Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i'm no expert, but that doesn't look good. the blue-spot jawfish was swimming the same way about an hour or two before he died. if i knew how to fix it, i would have...sorry.

He doesn't look right but he doesn't look terrible either. I would hold out hope that maybe he will pull through. The "living dangerously video is hilarious:lol:
Not sure if it would help but you can allways try metronidazole. It seems to work in a lot of cases in fish I think mainly because it has very high systemic availabilty when given orally and it also has good effectiveness against protazoa.
I have some if you can remind me (over the counter Seachem stuff) I can't remember if you are on ABLE's or CE this week.
You can mix it with garlic, vitamins and freeze dried brine shrimp and that seems to be a good concoction for several things. Just LMK where you are and I can bring some to school.

Yeah, chris, I will try anything-- almost anything. How is that suppossed to be given??? He does not look like he is going to die anytime soon, but it does look weird. I'm almost a vet, so I know when things are not right. Don't have the slightest idea about how to fix things.

So, my sixline has been swimming fine for a while. I have been feeding the metronidazole mixture from fishdoc for the past few days. He is no longer swimming upside down-- I think that is improvement. And the corals which were affected from the temperature drop are doing better. The stylopora (I'm horrible with spelling) is growing back really fast. It seems like if they did not die, they live. Still lost an acan, tricolor valida, pseudo leng si cap, hairy garf, and some green acro. Thanks everyone.

I think either I am picky or got a fish with bad luck. Now he is bulbthalmic with some cornea edema----- his eye is big and cloudy. I think I am the obsessed hobbiest we all talk about.
