Fish that Jump

I am setting up a 40 breeder tank, I don't plan on keeping more than a few fish but a few I am considering tend to be jumpers. What kind of top is recommended? I'm afraid to put a top on because it will drop the intensity of my T5 fixture. If this is in the wrong forum please place it where it should be. Thanks!

All my Fish Jump, I have bells above my Tank that they wack with there tails, I have trained them to play Ode To Joy, It's pretty Incredible lol, I'm kidding man.

I think all fish jump, Except for dead fish, The ones that I hear about pretty regularly are:

Anthias
Clownfish
Firefish
Gobies
Blennies

Get a Mesh Screen From Lowes or Home Depot, Bulk Reef Supply Has some as well!

Add all wrasses to the list and you are pure gold!

Let's not forget jawfish and dartfish...:) ...and chromis... might be easier to ask what fish don't jump! Those 1/4" screen top should not affect the light intensity of your lights.

Firefish are notorious jumpers and so are any species of jawfish. Both species require closed top tanks for long term care. Also, I have had clownfish jump and triggerfish. The most notorious for me were Bartlett's Anthias. I had a blue spot jawfish named Herman Cain that jumped recently. Oddly enough he had to jump 9 feet, landed 9 inches from the tank on a #9 creme colored carpet. That was his 999 plan.

I have 1/4" mesh on my tank in a window screen frame because I have several wrasses and I hear them bounce off the net all the time. Add a Silver Foxface to the list. I had one of my tops off moving some things around and mine jumped out and landed behind the tank. Thankfully I was able to Scoop him up with a net and put him back in the tank.
