Thanks for all the help and advice - I tend to post a lot of questions. Yesterday I asked about the triggerfish, but I am realizing that will probably not work. I'll just be honest - I want as many fish as possible. I don't want to create problems for the fish or myself, but I want a full, stocked tank (90 gallon, 2 x 3 x 3).
My current stock is:
Yellow tang
Blue tang (very small)
Coral beauty
Purple firefish
Royal gramma
Melanarus wrasse (small)
Clownfish pair (hosted by green BTA)
My LFS is on the lookout for an orange-back wrasse, which will bring me up to 9 fish.
I'd like to add at least one more fish, if not a few more. I have a strong skimmer and am vigilant about water changes. All my fish get along and things are going well.
So what are some ideas for a few final fish? I don't think the tank is ready for a mandarin, and I've read that my wrasses might consume all the pods. I really like hawkfish, but my peppermint shrimp are slowly ridding my tank of aiptasia and I don't want them to become lunch.
I'm not too concerned about the price of the fish, and my LFS guy makes frequent trips to LA and is good about finding the fish his customers request. I realize another tang is out, as is triggerfish. I've always wanted a flame angel, but worry about aggression from the CB. I don't yet have a sand-dweller, but gobies don't really do it for me. I've considered a single male lyretail anthias.
I realize it's tough to find a tankmate to match what I'm looking for, and I'm sure many of you are itching to dump on me because of my blue tang and tell me I'm already overstocked. But any advice is welcome!
