Fish trap finally worked!

YES! I finally was able to entice my Starry Blenny into venturing into the unseen world of an Apple Juice Bottle. In the process, I caught my 3 Blue/Green Chromis, Redlined Wrasse, Percula, and a snail. But I prevailed and got my Blenny.

I did the classic top inverted in a juice bottle:

I replaced him with a RedLip Blenny. I've heard these are can have mixed temperaments but I'm gonna give it a shot:

How long did it take you because I spent hours and no success

I'd been trying for about 2 weeks. I set the trap probably 5 times. Most of the time the Blenny would pay no interest at all so I didn't feed the tank for 2 days, then he was starving enough to venture in.

When I set the trap this time it took about an hour and a half until he made his way in.

I have a regular fishtrap (aqua medic).

It usually takes me a few hours to catch a fish. Very shy fish can take a day or two before they go in, but they all go in. And I've caught mandarins with it and a very skittish pylei wrasse.

Tangs and damsel are the easiest to catch cause they usually are bold and hungry. I have a 450g sps reef so netting is never an option here.

Why did you take the Blenny out?

He was getting too big for my 30g. He started to become the alpha male and started eating my SPS and toadstool. Unfortunately it took me 2 weeks to get him out so my SPS suffered and likely won't recover. My toadstool seems fine now that he is gone though.
