Fish with Flukes

I cannot seem to find the thread on how to freshwater dip a fish to take care of flukes. i noticed one on my baby blue hippo tang, i noticed his bottom fins are severely torn, and he scratches himself from the one fluke. Can anyone help me before he dies?

Can you see the flukes? I could be ick, too

It's been a long time, but I recall the important things are to match ph and temp.

I would do some searches to make sure of that, the duration, and what to expect.

Prazipro in a hospital tank is a very effective fluke treatment too. But that's a whole'nother road. Some immediate relief is the FWD, but if there are flukes in the display tank your fish will become reinfected.

I only see the fluke on the hippo tang. Everyone else is very healthy, i try searching for it but no searches give me an accurate time.

fw dipping

fw dipping

when i dip my fish i add 1 liter of salt water to 1 gallon of purified water and match the temp. dip for at leat 3 minutes but no more than six. adding the little bit of salt reduces the risk of osmotic shock. best of luck!
