Fish with lots of personality?

Am setting back up my 55g whilst patiently awaiting my planned 225 FOWLR set up at the end of the year. Will also be going fowlr within the 55 with maybe some shrooms for a splash of colour?! What I am looking for is 5-6 small compatible fish with lots of personality and/or thats interesting to observe etc.

A defiante so far is the Flame Hawkfish. Have never kept one of these but love there rare inability to swim how they hop from rock to rock then pearched watching your every move. I also like the Sixline Wrasse as well how they hover over something that takes their fancy, poking away :D. I believe Blennys (Midas & Bicolor in particluar) are quite durable?!

Im looking for plenty of charecture. Any body want to add to this? Any info/help much appreciated.

Diamond Goby. My first saltwater fish and he's great. Keeps the sand spotless and has a great personality. Also took to the tank very well, he took frozen mysis the same day I brought him home.

How about an angel? I've got a little cherub that's very interactive. He's such a game little guy - the bullies push him around a bit at dinner time, but he's always ready to sneak around them to grab a piece of food. He reminds me of the proverbial little brother, following them around wherever they go begging to be let in on the fun :)

JAWFISH by far

im geting a blue spot jawfish tomorow. im excited.

I agree i have one and has one of the best personality's

bleeny's have great personality. I had a bicolor and a red lip at two diffrent times and they were the only fish that interacted with me. Following my finger across the glass + it is funny to watch them hop from rock to rock

I love the personality of my diamond watchman goby too, but you have to be careful - they are jumpers. I had one before that one said, "Bye, bye, cruel tank!"

My tank stays covered every night now.

Though I don't personally find them terribly attractive, I'd say blennies have some of the funniest/best personalities

Me concur. I have a lemonpeel in my 75 that is just full of personality.
I swear to god that s/he plays hide and seek with me.

I don't really think there's too many that DON'T have a personality.... they all seem to have their own antics and I don't think you can go wrong with any of them.
My Clownfish watches TV, my coral beauty also plays curious "little brother", my goby is lazy as all get out and the shrimp are like little kids who can't quite reach the cookie jar.

Firefish don't seem to have too much going on upstairs.

LMAO I feel the same way about my saddleback clowns. They're dumb as posts and mean to boot, but at the same time there's something really appealing about them - if carrying hermits across the tank and shaking them like terriers with rats is personality, these guys have LOADS :D

my longnose hawk cracks me up. they also are a little less likely to terrorize tankmates than flame hawks. one of his favorite moves is to perch on snails that are cleaning the glass. so cute! and very curious... he makes it hard for me to look closely at things through the glass because wherever i am, he's right in front of my face trying to check me out. he's never bothered any of my shrimp... but they were in there first.

Hawkfish, blennies (I personally like omnivores like the molly miller the best), pseudochromids, groupers, angels, triggers, boxfish, puffers, jawfish and wrasses all show a lot of personality and are seemingly intelligent. What makes them seem that way? Posture for sure, but ever notice the difference in their eyes? They seem to have the keenest vision and are most alert. They inspect just about everything even when they aren't hungry and seem to show a curiosity that other fish don't seem to have.

Other species are cool IMO but in different ways.
