Fishplanet?

i'm going to be in the rancho cordoba area off of sunrise this saturday and thought i would stop in at fish planet on the way back to southbound 5 , can anyone chime in on this store...does it carry sps/lps? thanks in advanced.

well, the shark tank at Fish Planet is nice if you're just checking the place out. But if you're passing through Sac for sps/lps I'd check out "O" Street and/or Exotic.

I agree with Shiveley. If you're looking for dry goods or a new tank they have a lot. Their saltwater fish and coral selections are very small and I can't say I've seen any SPS there.

If you're looking for LPS, in the highway 50 corridor is AquaWorkz at the corner of power-inn and belvedere (sp?). About 3-4 miles south of 50.

Yes, aquaworkz fits well along that route. I don't think they carry SPS do they? I did not see any on my last visit.

I've only seen LPS and softies there so far, but a fair selection, just not clearly priced.

They had a few pieces of SPS when I was there on 09-03-07. Not many. I think they were testers. Seems to be a nice store.

I happened by O St yesterday and stopped in. I couldn't stay long because the pregnant wife was hungry and nothing can keep her from food...

Anyways, they have some beautiful livestock. I don't know anything about corals, but I can say they have the nicest pair of black clowns I've ever seen, some nice RBTAs, and a great wrasse selection including the one below that I'd never seen before:

Also had $30 buckets of salt (don't remember brand).

I'll take this time to give Aqua Zoo some praise. Jack, the man in charge there is a stand up guy. He works a store out of Denio's market on Saturday and Sunday. If you want something at a good price, he is a good starting place. Here is a craigslist ad incase you've never seen it:
