JoStopped by today for the first time

I was pleasantly surprised. They have obviously been listening.

Now let me say I went by just to check it out. I was surprised to find stuff I have been looking for and had not found locally before. I purchased a big purple photosynthetic gorgonia and a purple bonzai looking sps that had green polyps.
The prices were right. They had a lot of stuff I don't see in Tucson. It was refreshing. Rather than having 20 corals that look the same and everyone has they had a few of each with good variety. Euphyllia for example, they had 8-10 different varieties. Wall, branch, spawn, Octo, gold, etc. They had most of the encrusting monti varieties.

I actually witnessed a quarantine system. Yeah, a real one. In the back they have back up fish in quarantine tanks. For the first time I will consider buying more exotic fish locally.

The prices were really good. Like online good. The peppermint shrimp were 7 the yellow tang was 30 ish

Its been a long time since I bought at a LFS. I'm glad I went in.

I agree - I've been by twice . . . this week. Prices are good and quarantine and selection seem topnotch. Management seems very open to feedback. Lets hope nothing changes!

I have to agree. Just what Tucson needed. Clean shop and owners that introduce themselves with a handshake!

I went in on Tuesday and was excited by the fish selection, every single one that I have plans to add to my tank were swimming around and for decent prices. Does anyone know if they are planning to offer any sort of guarantee?

+1.

I saw my DT's future swimming right before my eyes. QT first of course...

sounds like they are still figuring out what to do in trrms of any guarantee. possibly a discounted replacement or an up front warranty fee like bestbuy. They asked me what I expected but I didnt have any good ideas.

Personally I prefer a qt fish vs guarantee. If a fish has been alive for a month in qt its in my court to keep it alive. Both qt and warranty cost them plus we want good prices. Again this is my opinion. I'll take better price and a healthy fish.

was that the purple with orange polyps??

No., they didn't have one with orange polyps. Someone must have snagged it. Sounds interesting though. If they get another ill snag it. I got a round branched purple polyp they was showing the best extension. I'm really liking the movement of the gorg. It's softer and more flowing than the nps variety not to mention less maintenance.

Finally got a chance to stop by the shop now that it's open.

Wow, 54W ATI T5 tubes for $21.50...are you kidding me? Reasonably priced, local GFO...awesome.

Stopped by today and saw a lot of merchandise without prices?? Didn't see any prices on corals. If I have to ask for a price...I'm not buying. Its weird that's one thing I think everyone said in another thread. Post prices don't make me ask. Table full of Jebos no prices?

I asked the same thing and said they don't want to write on the glass. They are actually having stuff made for them from us plastics. Some sort of r ack system that will make it much easier t jg an the write on tge glass ststem
