Fishy's back with a rimless A.G.E.

Thanks Clint... I am looking at a Wavebox. The nano would be good for its price and size. Time will tell.

Thanks for the answer... let us know when you get the skimmer up and running again. Good luck!!

Well as of last night the skimmer is up and running again. 12 hours in and I've got 1/2 cup full of nasty, dirty skimmate. So I'll beging the ZEOvit system again and hope to get my water back in line. PO4 is .24- YIKES!

Here are a few acan shots from tonight.

Whats the 'big' update coming??? BTW, just found this thread and when I saw your most recent FTS, both my brother and I said simultaneously: "Oh My God!"

I spent much of the day finishing up the plumbing and replacing the seals, bearing in my closed loop pump and it's safe to say I am worn out!

Mojo suggested that I re-route the far left closed loop so that it goes out the back of the stand. I am glad I took his advice as there is more room underneath and things do not look as cluttered.

I also picked up my Spectrapure five stage RO/DI unit and started making water. Since I do not have my mixing vat yet I have the product water going directly in the tank. Once I have enough water to run my return pump and closed loop I will be adding salt and letting my CL mix it up.

The rock selected was Vanuatu and I had a chance to check it out last week down at Kingfish where it is curing. I hope to have my sand by end of next week. That will allow me to scape the rock and get ready for fish.

Below are progress pics from today, it's getting close to becoming a reef!

Temp of the tank is only around 78 with all lights on. The Barracuda pump puts out more heat than the ATI fixture.

My current bulb combo is:

front to back

ATI Blue Plus
ATI Blue Plus
ATI Actinic
ATI Purple Plus
ATI Blue Plus
GE 6500
ATI Blue Plus
ATI Purple Plus
ATI BLUE PLUS
ATI BLUE PLUS

Fishy, the corals and clams look awesome. You've got a really great tank. I recently emailed kingfish about a tank quote so hope to hear back soon. I'm thinking of something very similar to what you've got. Keep up the great tank.

Yes you are correct in that picture, however it is a few years old and I've changed the bulbs out a few times since then. :wavehand:

This no name chalice is looking good. The undertones are red which makes the blue pop however I can not capture this with my stock camera lens.

Bumping this thread. Since last year the tank ought to be looking better. Would be grateful for some macro shots of the Acros too. :)
