I want the tank back!

Looks great Clint! On the right return inlet, is that an Oceans Motions "Omni flex nozzle?"

Yes it is Austin. How's your set up coming along?

Mike- Dude come and get it, It'd look way better in CasedeMojo instead of the slum it's currently in ;)

Bax I now have a new found love for Anthias and the male is the king of the reef (for now)

Gabe you need to come check it out anyway. My house is only about a 20 minute drive from you place. I'll even let you knock a ding or two out!

GMATTA Thanks bro! You need to come see it live once it starts looking decent.

Steve- I'm not sure if Mike would like that or not. I'm still debating on which wave box to get. Now I'm leaning more towards the full size one. Someone told me the magnet will not hold on 3/4 inch glass. Do you know if this is true?

Clint, the magnet will not work with 3/4" but you can always use the sure grip 100. With the nano wavebox the wave will be smaller, why change when you are happy with what you have now.

Cool thanks man!

Slowly but surely... I was just telling Steve last night that I'm waiting on the TAX return to splooge on pumps and light... but I have the tank, stand, skimmer and salt, and plumbing and return pump have been ordered! :D

Couple weeks and I should be wet... err, my tank will be that is ;)

hmmmmm ???? You are sick dude.... Austin try to compete with Dave (Nanook) and Mike (Dudester).... So far Nanook is the winner :D. Doesn't it bother you to see the tank sitting where you want it to be without water ? :D

I meant my hands and sleeves bud... YOU my friend, have the sick mind! I should be well within those benchmarks of tank start-up... or at least I should be with a quarter of the total volume

Back to Clints' wonderfull tank!

Thanks Corndork. Gees I never thought those words would roll off my tongue together!

Steve-

How do I go about securing the nano wave box to the back of the tank? I really don't like the bare spot in the front.

Get a sure grip magnet 100 and use 2 part epoxy to glue it in the back of the box. If you need help with tuning the nano, you know my 1 800 number

Glad, that is not your real name. If you happen to meet an asian guy like me, your name will be "corn dog" just kidding bro

Well time for a small update. I came home from work today and my house was very quiet and dark. After a quick panic I realized my corals were still alive but my fish were no were to be found. I traced the problem to the Benklin power strip. :( It's amazing all the money we have tied up in our reefs and yet our weakest link is what powers the thing. Luckily all the fish made it, guess it had just failed before I got home.

Now onto the update. The stand skin didn't turn out like I had hoped for so I asked a construction buddy of mine if he could have one of his carpenters build something for me. I gave him a few ideas and let him run with it. He also built a smaller scale box to cover up the chiller and top off bucket. All I need to do now is stain it, and re-route some cords and I'll be good to go. Check it out, it's made from Oak and instead of bolting to the steel stand it slides out and has three doors. I'm very pleased.

Thanks Ed. I chose a dark Walnut finish by Watco Danish Oil. Hopefully my wife will like my choice or I'll be re-doing it.

Love the grain on that wood. This is a huge improvement for you! You should get some scrap oak and stain it with the walnut, then show that to your wife to make sure she likes it.

Thanks Dude. I planned on staining the back side of the chiller box to make sure.

UPDATE:

Cleaned the glass and thought I'd snap a few pictures. I'm way rusty with my camera so please forgive my horrible shots. The tank is really starting to find it's stride. I'm happy with growth and color for now. I also started Zeovit two weeks ago. Stay tuned........
