Five Line Wrasse Gorgeous

I saw a 5 line wrasse for the first time at a local public aquarium display. I would love to purchase one but have no found any vendors that have them.

Any ideas where I can find one to purchase?

I've never heard of a five line wrasse. I know of four, six, and eight line.

yesssssss. 5 stripe! Using "stripe" instead of "line" has revealed to me many vendors where it is offered for sale. thanks for the correction.

Yeah that is indeed a very beautiful wrass. Can't imagine how much they are selling for if available.

I saw a few at some LFS I been too. Are they reef safe? Also can different wrasse stay in one tank?

Thalassoma wrasses are not considered reef safe usually. They'll munch any crustacean (and possibly some small fish). Some of them get rather large too, I know lunar wrasses can grow to 10 inches or longer. I don't know if this species in particular is an exception to that rule, though.

Phew! So far my cleaner wrasse is being good. Very friendly with its other tanks mates; greats all new additions and tours them through the tank.
