Anyone have a 4ft. fixture that's been gutted out? I'm looking to mount my 4ft. l.e.d. fixture to the top side of a previous t5 or vho system. Any ideas or suggestions? I have a t5 fixture no, just not wide enough for what I want to do.

Why not just build something to encase the fixture in?

Because it is hanging from my ceiling. If there's something I can build and not weigh down my ceiling, please share. I don't mean that sarcastically.

Are the hangers not screwed into your ceiling joists?

get a 4' florescent fixture from home depot , or if you can work with sheet metal you can make one that is light weight
