FL Conch

My Niece brought home a Fl conch and was like here i brought you this for your tank. I currently have a 10 gallon but am setting up a 110 fish only so what do i do with this thing i dont want it sliming up my 10 gallon and am not sure as to how to take care of it. All net searches come up with how to cook them. i have it in a spare 10 should i just take it back to the ocean or what?

Nothing should ever go back to the ocean after it's been in the same system as animals from another part of the world. If you really want to get rid of it sell or trade it to someone else in the hobby.

It will be fine for a while in the 10 gallon, but you'll want to get it into a bigger tank ASAP. All it needs is some open sand with a little bit of algae on it.

Thanks i Guess im stuck with it its not very pretty so i doubt i could trade it for anything

It's most likely a Florida Fighting Conch. These guys are actually really cool to watch and I would suggest you keep him around for awhile.
