Flaggin or Goldflake?

I have had this little guy for about 30 days. It was sold as a Goldflake. He is about 2" at this point.

Since I have had him the black in his anal fin is starting to fade away and the spots on his dorsal fin are getting smaller.

All of this has me starting to believe he is a flagfin. Obviously there is a huge price difference between the two.

Flagfin is still a great looking angel imo, but if you had your heart set on a goldflake then do what you must. Regardless, if you decided to keep it, your LFS needs to make it right.

Not a gold Flake. Sorry. Pretty fish, but not the same thing. Being a big fan of Goldflakes, and having kept them for the past 10 years, I know the joys of growing them from juvenile to adult.

Good luck resolving the issue.

I'd like to see a different pic...so many hybrids around this past year...imo, the hybrids are more attractive than both gf and ff...
