Flake vs. Pellet Food ?!

So I am currently using Ocean Nutrition: Prime Reef Flakes.

As far as fish I only have an Ocellaris clown, 3 chromis, and a coral banded shrimp. They all love and eat the flakes!

Today I picked up some New Life: Spectrum (Sinking Pellets) from your reef, (Along with some coral that are looking awesome! ) I tried feeding them just a little bit and I think they hated it. Went all crazy trying to get it then nibbled on it for a sec and spit it out!

Is that normal? Is a no a No, or do I just keep at it until they like it.
Mix it in with the flake? Or do flake early, pellets later, etc..

This is probably not even a big deal, I just don't want to end up like starving them if they hate the pellets~

Not a pro but....I feed NLS pellets. New fish tend to mouth the pellets then spit them out for the first week or so. I guess their not used to the texture or size or whatever, but eventually they get on board.

Soak pellets in some tank water to soften up a bit. Cut back feeding flake food, then try to feed pellets. I also use the pellet food to feed lps, and clean up crew
