I have never seen one in the trade, but there have been attempts to culture Metasepia tullbergi in Japan with some success. Metasepia pfefferi is common in the Lembeh Straight and I have seen it as far south as central Queensland. We have collected and brought back eggs which hatched, but did not survive. For the stomatopod lovers - or haters - stomatopods such as Odontodactylus latirostris seems to be one of their favorite foods. One of my students as great footage of them feeding, mating, and laying eggs.
