flame and bangaii cardinal compatibility

Will these two cardinals do OK together?

From what I've been told, Banggais are aggressive towards other cardinals that share a similar body shape (hence, it's not a good idea to mix them with pajamas), but will leave non-similar species alone. I used to keep a pair of Banggais with a school of threadfins and had no problems. If it works, I think your idea would be a very striking combination.

Do the bangaiis need to be a pair? I have one and would like to get another.
