I currently have a pair of true Hawaiian flame angels in my 55 gallon QT tank and I haven't been able to get them to eat for the past week or so. The QT tank is setup bare bottom and has a couple large pieces of hair algae covered live rock and 2 large PVC pipes for cover. The QT tank was in hypo (SPG = 1.009) when I first added the fish and it was my plan to treat them with Prazipro after they had been eating for a week and had adjusted to the QT tank. Both ate mysis and spirulina brine for the first 5 days after introduction but then started to ignore the food, so I immediately began the Prazipro treatment as I assumed the lack of appetite may be due to flukes or other interanal parasites. About 3 days into the Prazipro treatment both began eating again and but then stopped after 2 days. After the 7 day Prazipro treatment I did a large water change as instructed and waited to see if the angels would start eating again. After 2 more days of not eating I started to gradually bring the SPG up with the hopes that hypo may have something to do with their lack of appetite, but I am at 1.025 SPG now and they still aren't eating. The fish still look healthy but I am growing concerned with the fact they haven't eaten in well over a week so I am contemplating adding them to my DT as it has large quantities of live rock that should be able to provide them with a food source until they better take to captive foods. Is this a bad idea or should I give QT some more time?
